EEC-ECT organises educational activities in cooperation with the above universities and international organisations.
The internationally recognised Galileo Master Certificate has been awarded for over 40 years and earned a strong reputation in the industry, where it has been awarded to high-profile companies such as Coca Cola, Tesco, Oxfam GB, the Royal Air Force, Ferrero, Fiat and Honeywell.
The ECT is an Independent Professional Body and trains over 5000 individuals every year in more than 300 training courses across Europe. Courses leading to the Certificate are delivered at 21 Universities worldwide.
The ECT is one of the leading providers of the GMC. The ECT also works with UNITED NATIONS (UNEP) and major universities for the dissemination of knowledge and expertise, including:
Imperial College London, Edinburgh Napier University, Coventry University, Nottingham University, Glasgow Caledonian University, Heriot-Watt University, University Politecnico di Milano, University Politecnico di Torino, University of Padua, University La Sapienza of Rome and many more.
The GMC has grown to become an authoritative award and a clear step towards a career in Engineering, Management, Finance and Computing. The GMC also qualifies participants for Expert Certificates provided by the Galileo Project.
ECT Courses held in the UK and globally through classroom or online learning can be used as a progression route leading to further studies offered by our partners, including Edinburgh Napier University’s part time degree programmes. Please enquire to [email protected] for further information on the specific programmes and entry requirements.
The ECT also works with the CPD Certification Service to provide Accredited training courses in Engineering, Management, Finance and Computing.
The European Centre of Technology (ECT) has been approved to offer additional qualifications on a variety of renewable energy technologies, provided by the European Energy Centre (EEC) and accredited by the SQA.
This Accreditation has been chosen in order to develop the ECT-EEC’s position as Independent Professional Bodies which already provide the internationally recognised Galileo Master Certificate (GMC) to successful participants of eligible GMC exams.
The SQA Qualifications have been chosen in line with the mission of the European Centre of Technology to promote best practices in Engineering, Management, Finance and Computing through training courses, seminars and conferences with the United Nations (UNEP).
The courses are based upon the leading European-funded Project EMTEU. This project, which we have completed with our European partners, aims to provide the required knowledge and training to allow professionals and technicians to become quality experts, working in Engineering, Management, Finance and Computing.
The Galileo Master Certificate (GMC) is awarded upon completion of the GMC exam, taken following one of a wide selection of renewable energy and energy efficiency training courses.
The Galileo Master Certificate exam papers are compiled and marked by authorities and quality assessors such as university professors and experts with up to 40 years of theoretical and practical experience; and independently audited before the Certificate is awarded.
The exams, and the courses leading to the exams, are rigorously and continuously assessed by the EMTEU committee of the ECT to ensure that they meet a consistent standard of knowledge expected within the industry. The GMC-awarding courses are approved following the procedure described here.
The European Centre of Technology has been awarding the Galileo Master Certificate (GMC) to successful participants for nearly 40 years. During that the time the Galileo Master Certificate has developed a strong reputation as a leading award within Engineering, Management, Finance and Computing topic areas.
Participants who have obtained the Galileo Master Certificate include personnel and representatives of major international organisations including Siemens, Energy Saving Trust, British Gas, Nokia, Nestlé, Coca Cola, Solar Power Scotland, British Army, United Nations Development Programme, NATO, Ministry of Defence and many more.
A full list of the clients who have been awarded the Galileo Master Certificate can be viewed here http://theECT.org/gmc-qualifications/awarded-clients/
Participants can opt to have the Certificate presented during a ceremony at one of the European conferences run by the United Nations (UNEP) and European Centre of Technology (ECT) that bring together leading universities, worldwide institutions and associations.
