The European Centre of Technology launches, bringing 40 years of Expertise to the UK

The European Centre of Technology (better known as the “ECT”) has arrived in the UK, bringing with it over 40 years’ experience of education through knowledge-sharing and best practise in the areas of Engineering, Management and Finance. Working alongside the United Nations (UNEP), its twin organisation the European Energy Centre (EEC), and leading universities – such as Edinburgh University Business School, Imperial College London, and The George Washington University – the ECT provides leading training courses, qualifications, conferences, publications, European projects, global partnerships and awards the highly regarded, internationally recognised Galileo Master Certificate.

The ECT runs courses in Engineering, Management and Finance across the UK, in Birmingham, London

The ECT is established as an independent, professional body which delivers cutting-edge short training courses in Management, Engineering, Finance and Renewable Energy topics to participants from 120 countries around the world. The ECT has enlisted Expert Lecturers from some of the best academic institutions in the United Kingdom including Edinburgh University, the University of London, Imperial College London and Heriot-Watt University, all with many years of practical and theoretical experience.

Training courses run by the ECT are held at partner universities across the UK and are open to all professionals and students, from those with technical and professional backgrounds to those who have no prior experience. Participants who attend these courses benefit from the ECT Experts’ knowledge though a combination of practical and theoretical training designed to assist professional development and aid employability.

The ECT also offers the internationally recognised Galileo Master Certificate (GMC) to participants on its approved courses. The GMC is recognised as a gateway to working in the Financial, Management and Engineering sectors and has been awarded to professionals from Siemens, Energy Saving Trust, British Gas, Nokia, Nestlé, Coca Cola, Solar Power Scotland, British Army, United Nations Development Programme, NATO and the Ministry of Defence.

Along with its partner organisations the ECT trains around 5000 individuals a year in over 300 training courses at 21 universities across Europe. Paolo Buoni, a director of the ECT, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming opportunities the organisation will bring to the UK:

“With 40 years’ worth of experience the ECT is in a superb position to bring quality training and knowledge to the UK in the areas of Engineering, Management and Finance.”
